Statement

ROOTS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED is committed to meeting and exceeding our client’s expectations in all aspects of its ongoing operation, including quality workmanship, on time delivery, professional service, and management. All employees and all consultants are charged with, and are expected to commit to this overall policy. Policies, processes, and procedures have been adopted by EW AFRICA Limited to implement this plan.

All employees and consultants are expected to conduct themselves appropriately at all times in their ongoing dealings with the public and with the respective and actual clients of Roots Construction Company Limited.

Any activities not in accordance with the quality system are to be reported to the Managing Director of RCC Ltd. The company’s safety commitment statement is also included below.

The safety statement has been developed by Management to demonstrate the full commitment from the company to protect the health, safety, and well-being of all persons on the job site. The company commits to providing a quality product safely. We have notified our clients, our associates, our subcontractors, and regulatory agencies of our commitment to a safe and accident-free job site.

 

Performance Measures

The Key Performance Measures of RCC Ltd are as follows: Our Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) with the quality of their new building, addition, renovation. Percentage of inspections passed the first time Percentage of projects delivered on budget and within schedule Number of reported lost-time accidents per development Number of OSH visits and notices The average number of call backs in the 3 month defect liability period The number of tenders awarded in any 12 month period based on size, nature and value Penetration of new markets The Accountant will graph these performance measures on annual basis and report to the Managing Director on the progress of achieving the company’s goals.

The goals of the company and the measures will be reported to employees at tool box meetings. Each year the above list of performance measures will be reviewed and modified as considered appropriate by the Managing Director and Accountant and new goals will be set for RCC Ltd the currently approved list of performance measures.

Quality System Management

Contract Documents

Safety Records to be maintained as a part of our company safety program include: Record of safety Training Minutes of toolbox talks Records of job site safety inspections Record of Trade Contractor Safety Plans.

Quality Responsibilities

All employees are responsible for carrying out their day-to-day duties in accordance with the requirements of the RCC Ltd quality system. The Managing Director is responsible for the ongoing operations of the quality system.

Record Keeping

At ROOTS we keep quality and safety records for a period of at least 10 years in a safe location and under control of the management. The quality files include: Contract

Checklist, Inspections, materials delivered on a daily basis, materials quality inspection, visitors to site, items requiring special attention, verbal instruction and person authorizing, information requested including date, minutes of conversations with consultants and project management, important phone calls, staff and subcontractor warnings, weather conditions, Subcontractors and staff on site, stoppages and site shutdowns. Approved plans and specifications.

Policy Statements

The purpose of this policy is to develop a high standard of safety throughout all operations of RCC Ltd and to ensure that no employee is required to work under any conditions which are hazardous or unsanitary. We believe that each employee has the right to derive personal satisfaction from his / her job and the prevention of occupational injury or illness is of such consequence to this belief that it will be given top priority at all times. Our commitment to the occupational health, safety and quality has rewarded us and our clients an incident free projects, this we highly achieve by constant Site Specific Risk Assessment performed prior to the commencement of any project and review same in event of dynamics.

We have a dedicated department of for organizational health safety and environment staffed with well trained and qualified professionals in the health and safety industry who have proven to be well experienced in their field of expertise.
